This client is a dear friend of mine and wanted a refresh that was airy, interesting, and felt like it was meant for her space. She had been buying pieces she loved so she could redo her shelves all at once. After collecting enough pieces, I started playing with it. Small cubbies can be hard because there is less room to play and mix without repeating too much. I started with the art so it could set the mood and color pallet. Slowly working pieces in trying to evenly distribute so it felt as though she had been adding to it over time. I loved this job because it tested my boundaries. I had to use my skills in new ways to make everything come together perfectly.
