His & Hers Nightstands

I love doing his and hers spaces. The personal touch in a shared space brings a new level of creativity to make both sections feel cohesive and personalized. This room had all the necessities to set the tone. The coupled likes soft, welcoming, neutrals that are timeless and simple. They have a less is more mentality, and are all about function. Because they have the pendants above the nightstands, that gives you more functional surface area to style simply so they don’t have to move anything in their day to day routine.

For him, I needed a vase that felt more rugged but soft in shape. I went with a wood vase that has mixed fluting for added texture. The ceramic tray adds another hard element but is still soft in shape so it’s not too masculine. I added a picture frame so he can display his wife and kids with a candle to fill the space. The draping pearls bring the outside in without adding to much height. The books on the lower shelf tie in the color of the room and make it feel used.

For her, I chose lots of soft, rounded shapes. The vase is short and round with braided handles. The draping eucalyptus adds a softer touch to the greenery. The stone clock adds a rough element to tie in with his side but soft in shape to keep a feminine feels. The gold candlesticks tie in to the gold finishes in the room. I selected boxes for the lower shelf so she can display jewelry or sentimental personal belongings.
